Free School Meals (FSM) & Pupil Premium
At St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
Registering for Free School Meals (FSM) helps us secure additional funding through the government’s Pupil Premium grant, enabling us to provide targeted support and enrichment opportunities for our pupils.
Why register?
Although all London primary school pupils currently receive free school meals through the Mayor of London scheme, families who receive qualifying benefits must still register.
For every eligible child who is registered, the school receives over £1,500 per year in additional Pupil Premium funding.
This funding supports:
-
Targeted academic interventions
-
Small group and 1:1 teaching support
-
Curriculum enrichment and educational resources
-
Subsidised school trips and residential visits
-
Pastoral care and wellbeing support
-
Wider opportunities that enhance learning and personal development
Every registration makes a real difference.
Your child does not have to take a school meal if you prefer them to have a packed lunch — registering simply enables the school to access additional funding.
