We are delighted to announce that St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School has successfully renewed its Healthy Schools London Bronze Award, recognised by the National Children’s Bureau (NCB), for a further three years (2026–2029).
This award reflects our whole-school commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing and personal development of every child. Through our comprehensive approach to Physical Activity, Healthy Eating, and wider wellbeing initiatives, we ensure that healthy living is embedded across school life – from curriculum provision to enrichment opportunities and pupil leadership.
Our policies and practices support children to:
-
Develop lifelong healthy habits
-
Understand the importance of physical and emotional wellbeing
-
Make informed choices about nutrition and lifestyle
-
Engage in regular physical activity
-
Feel safe, supported and valued within our school community
The Healthy Schools team commended the breadth of opportunities available to pupils and our continued dedication to fostering a culture where wellbeing is prioritised alongside academic excellence.
We look forward to celebrating this achievement at the Healthy Schools Celebration Event at Tower Hamlets Town Hall and continuing our work to ensure that every child at St Edmund’s flourishes physically, emotionally and spiritually.
