Don’t miss our Annual Parents’ Conference from 16 to 18 March

 

The annual Tower Hamlets’ parents conference is now open for registration. Registration is free and the event will be delivered online across three-days during the morning, afternoon and evening, to fit in around busy family lives.

 

Topics covered will include mental health, parenting, education, financial wellbeing, and much more; plus daily special education needs and disabilities (SEND) question and answer session.

 

Timings vary, with each day themed as follows:

 

  • Tuesday 16 March: Back to school and building resilient learners
  • Wednesday 17 March: Building resilient and healthy families
  • Thursday 18 March: Building resilient communities and a strong parents voice

  • Join the Parental Engagement Team for an informal chat about children going  back to school this week
  • How are you feeling? How are your children settling back into school?
  • Come and share any questions you may have about going back to school and share how relieved parents are feeling now schools are re-opening!
  • We will discuss the importance of children being back in school and  explore ways parents can help children re-establish routines and feel confident to help  children catch up and re-engage in learning  for a positive school return

Covid 19 – Out of School Provision Webinar

 

The Public Health team will be hosting a lunch time webinar to discuss the Government Guidance on Protective measures for holiday and after-school clubs, and other out-of-school settings during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Out of school settings include:

  • community activities
  • tuition
  • holiday clubs
  • breakfast and after-school clubs for children

Holiday Childcare Easter Scheme 2021

 

 

The Tower Hamlets Holiday Childcare Scheme is now open for bookings for our Easter Scheme. We will be following government guidance and will open offering a reduced capacity to vulnerable children/ young people and other children, where the provision is needed. For more details please see the government guidance.

  • Scheme dates

            Monday 29 March – Friday 9 April 2021 (8 days, excluding bank holidays)

            Our scheme dates are based on the Tower Hamlets school holidays.

  • Venue (new school site)

             Malmesbury Primary School, Coborn Street, Mile End, E3 2AB 

 

  • Please share this information with families you feel may benefit from our scheme.  To refer a child please complete our referral form and support the family to book following the steps on our booking system.

Keeping Families Safe -FREE Virtual carbon monoxide awareness sessions for children

 

  • With everyone spending increased time at home, it’s more important than ever to engage with children and their families to raise awareness of carbon monoxide.
  • Virtual carbon monoxide awareness sessions delivered in a fun and interactive way available for years 2 & 3. 
  • Each participating child will also receive a free carbon monoxide alarm and goodie bag.
