Tower Hamlets Recovery College:  Please share

Free courses on mental health and wellbeing for young adults 

The Tower Hamlets Recovery College will be delivering courses co-produced specifically for Young Adults aged between 1830. The courses are for young adults between 18-30 who lives, works, studies or cares for someone in Tower Hamlets and wants to find out more about mental and physical health recovery and wellbeing or anyone who has experience of using mental or physical health services in Tower Hamlets. 

We have free spaces available on the recovery course: 

• Course Name: Understanding Loneliness and Isolation
• Course Date: Tuesday 27^th September 2022
• Course Time: 11am - 3pm

Secondary Transfer Information For Year 6 parents/carers – Moving Up 2023

Tower Hamlets Transition Support Service advocates early intervention to support children, young people and their families with information and advice at key points of transition to help manage change and make informed decisions about the next steps of their learning journey.

The move to secondary school is an important moment both for children and their parents. It offers all sorts of new opportunities, but it also can cause anxiety and confusion, so it’s vital parents have as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision about their child’s future.

To support families with the secondary transfer process the Transition Support Service are holding online advice sessions (through zoom) for current year 6 parents/carers: 

• Monday 26^th September.      Time: 6:00pm
• Friday 30^th September.          Time: 11:00am
• Tuesday 4^th October.             Time: 11:00am
• Wednesday 5^th October.       Time: 6:00pm
• Monday 10^th October.           Time: 1:00pm
• Friday 14^th October.               Time: 11:00am
• Tuesday 18^th October.           Time: 6:00pm
• Friday 21^st October.               Time: 11:00am
